When the covid-19 pandemic arrived it forced us to adapt and think outside the box for Summer 2020, with all of our usual summer gigs were cancelled so we got stuck right in to developing the 'Starlite Drive-in Cinema' brand back in March. Once it was safe to do so, we opened the gates to the first drive-in cinema in Naas, located at Naas Racecourse to bring some social-distancing friendly entertainment to the local community. 

 

Our event was fully compliant with all HSE covid-19 restrictions, you arrived in your car, stayed in your car and left in your car. Tickets were scanned contactless via car windows. The movies were shown on a state of the art 9 x 4 metre LED screen.

 

We were delighted to have BAD BOYS BBQ on board providing delicious movie snacks including gourmet burgers, hot dogs, pop-corn, bubble waffles, slushies and sweet treats. Our guests could pre-order online and have their food delivered right to their car when they arrived for their movie.

We welcomed 1000's of families in over our 3 week run at Naas Racecourse, showing up to 4 movies a day with something for all the family, many shows sold-out very quickly.  We received outstanding feedback on this event, it really brought joy to many families after the tough lockdown period. Our guests felt secure venturing out to a drive-in event knowing that there would be zero contact required.
